Charles is the Federal Affairs Manager for the Arthritis Foundation. He focuses on Congressional and Regulatory Affairs, lobbying and coalition management. He joined the AF team in March 2024. Prior to joining the Arthritis Foundation, Charles worked as a Senior Manager of Policy and Government Relations at the public affairs firm, Woodberry Associates. At Woodberry, his policy portfolio consisted of public utilities, higher education research, digital assets and health care, including policy support for coalitions such as the Alliance for Patient Access, the Partnership to Advance Cardiovascular Health and the Headache and Migraine Policy Forum. Charles previously worked as a Legislative Assistance on Capitol Hill for a West Virginia Representative focusing on health care, energy and natural resources. He has a degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech.
